Bellapais Spring Music Festival 2026: The 21st Edition

The Bellapais Spring Music Festival was held for the 21st time in spring 2026. It was organised by the Northern Cyprus Music Association, with support from the Deputy Prime Ministry, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, and local sponsors. The festival takes place in the village of Bellapais above Kyrenia, home to the Gothic Bellapais Abbey.

What was on

BRT reported two of the late-April programme dates:

• 30 April 2026, 20:00: a concert of Italian songs with soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, violin, cello and piano. Tickets cost 600 TL.
• 2 May 2026, evening: a concert by the youth and adult choirs of the Turkish Polyphonic Choirs Association.

Tickets were sold at Deniz Plaza stores in Nicosia and Kyrenia, at the Bellapais ticket office and the concert entrance, and online through Gisekibris and Kibrisbiletcim.

Corrections

An earlier version of this article said ticket sales were up 35% and local business revenue up 20%. We found no source for either figure and have removed them, along with the exact start and end dates, which we could not confirm.

The festival is held every spring, but dates and programmes change from year to year. Check the Northern Cyprus Music Association and the official ticket sellers for the current schedule before planning a trip around a particular concert.
